Tip of the Month:
Should you really buy lighting
that needs to be rewired? |
| |
Don't be afraid of buying
antique lighting that needs to
be rewired.
Ever shy away from buying old
lights which need to be rewired
or electrified? The truth behind
it - is its not really all that
complicated or expensive. As a
matter of fact it could run you
less than $50 to rewire a simple
pendant light or single bulb
fixture. It does get a little
more costly when wiring a 12 arm
chandelier - as each arm needs
to be wired. Generally if you
pay someone to do this for you -
it will run you somewhere
between $30-$50 for a single
light - or you can do it
yourself for around $10. It may
take you a little more time and
effort to have your light
rewired, but you then have the
privilege of having the original
look with the antique patina
that even when replicated isn't
quite the same. We have many
original lighting fixtures at
our New York location and online
on our web store for you to
choose from and personnel to
assist with any questions that
you may have. |
