parkavea.jpg (8791 bytes)

Doesn't look like much from this angle, does it?  This building at 60th Street and Park Avenue in Manhattan should be our best excavation yet...

crowna.jpg (9038 bytes) angle2a.jpg (10762 bytes)

Here's some of the detail you see as you start to move closer

coltopa.jpg (11769 bytes) flowera.jpg (13672 bytes)

The flowered stones have a beautiful blue glazed background

paaron1a.jpg (8807 bytes) psteve2a.jpg (8412 bytes)
The crown of the building is huge, one-of-a-kind...all copper with a green patina that stretches around two sides...how are we going to get this down?

p2tape3a.jpg (7159 bytes) pcorb1a.jpg (4587 bytes)

Each corbel is about 1 1/2 by 3 feet...there's 40 altogether

The Architecturologists are going to start excavating soon.  Stay tuned to late-breaking updates.
