Well, the Architecturologists are in Times Square again, this time across the street from the former building where we excavated the Nathan's sign.  That building above is the Rialto Theater, right at the corner of 42nd Street and Seventh Avenue. From an architectural viewpoint, it has a distinctive art deco look--aluminum 'fins', cobalt-blue glass panels (all of which we got, of course).

Like the sign says, the 30-story 'Reuters' building will be constructed in its place next year. As far as we can determine, that glass is originally from Italy. (Come to our Chelsea store to see what we made from it!)

Although they look like light fixtures, they're not. The building was originally constructed in 1898, then completely renovated in the 1920s when the 'deco' look was added--aluminum fins, blue panels and white glass tiles.
